Marko Simic membawa Persija menjadi juara dengan dua gol yang dicetaknya ke gawang Bali United dalam pertandingan yang digelar di Stadion Utama Gelora Bung Karno (SUGBK), Sabtu (17/2/2018).
Persija Jakarta memenangi pertandingan ini dengan hasil meyakinkan 3-0 lawan runner up Liga 1 2017 tersebut.

Pemain asal Kroasia itu punya alasan menyebut bagai juara Piala Dunia, yakni karena Piala Presiden dikemas dengan sangat baik.
"Turnamen ini sangat bagus. Selamat kepada Indonesia yang mempunyai turnamen sehebat ini," ujar top scorer Piala Presiden dengan torehan 11 gol itu.
